I love the craftsmanship of design, the impact of strategy, the power of code and technology, and the leverage of leadership. My work is about bringing those forces together to create products, systems, teams, and businesses that help people live better.

A short biography

Design has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I drew rockets, cellphones, houses, and sneakers as a child. My parents worked hard to send me to a technical school, where I learned the fundamentals of electrical and mechanical engineering, computer science, and industrial drafting.

I moved to the United States for high school and directed that creative energy into graphic and web design, theater, and poetry. I studied English and journalism in college, then combined my interests in technology and the humanities to build a career in digital product design.

Over the past decade-plus, I have worked across product design, strategy, brand, software, and leadership—helping build new products, businesses, design systems, and teams in healthcare, media, fitness, and technology. You can see that trajectory in my selected work.

I currently lead Member Experience & Design at Harbor Health. Alongside that work, I’m building Feel Eternity and an independent body of writing about design, healthcare, systems, leadership, technology, and the pursuit of meaningful work.

What I believe

The thread through my work is a belief that craft, strategy, technology, and leadership are not separate disciplines. The most consequential work happens when they reinforce one another.

What I’m focused on

My current work is organized around four connected areas.

Purpose

Combining my life experience, personality, and strengths, I return to three purposes that have stayed remarkably consistent over time.

Selected influences

These are a few of the books from my library that I return to most often. Each title opens the source, and the full collection lives in the Library.
